2008 Gold Prize Winner in the Art Category of

On June 18, 2009, ForeWord Magazine announced that Contemporary Quilt Art: An Introduction and Guide, written by Kate Lenkowsky and published by Indiana University was the Gold Award winner in the Art Category of their 2008 Book of the Year Award. The magazine is the only literary trade journal devoted exclusively to reviewing books from independent presses. The awards were established “to increase attention to the outstanding literary achievements of independent publishers and their authors.” Finalists in the Art Category included books published by The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and Rizzoli New York.
